Nets leading scorer reportedly available via trade

By -Rick Laughland | Nets Insider

The Nets are in true rebuilding mode. With loads of veterans possibly on the move before the trade deadline including: Dennis Schröder, Cam Johnson, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Bojan Bogdanovic, there's another name that will surprise Nets fans.

According to Sam Amick and The Athletic, Cam Thomas is available via trade.

The Nets leading scorer is reportedly not untouchable.

Thomas and the Nets did not agree to a long-term extension. Thomas was underutilized by Steve Nash and Jacque Vaughn during his young career.

Moving Cam Thomas would be an extremely unpopular move in Nets World, but it might be something they'll have to deal with since it's open trade season in Brooklyn.

NBA 2K25 Review: MY GM mode delivers, gameplay fails

By -Rick Laughland | Nets Insider

The NBA 2K franchise has lost its way over the years. From clunky gameplay, to greedy VC credits, some fans have become disillusioned with the direction of the once great basketball video game franchise.  Now, when I sat down to play NBA 2K25, I tempered my expectations. Online match play had a whole host of issues in the past year's version as timing up the jump shot meter became impossible with even the smallest amount of lag.  With the highest internet speeds available in my area, there should have been ample bandwidth and connection to produce a quality online experience. So, when I cracked into NBA 2k25, I was somewhat surprised that the gameplay and shot meter had changed a bit. At first blush, I thought that this was an improvement to the shooting mechanics of the game. Upon closer examination, I was able to determine that this year's gameplay is actually even more difficult to produce a quality jump shot that is timed properly. Even making moves to the basket, i...

With Nets floundering in Brooklyn, move back to NJ not crazy after all

By -Rick Laughland | Nets Insider

The Nets have played in eight different arenas since the franchise's inception in 1967. That's an average of a new home every seven years. So by that math, the Nets are overdue for a change in city and venue. Brooklyn lost for its 16th time in its last 20 games and suffered yet another late game collapse on Tuesday to the Knicks. The Nets forfeited double digit leads and eventually lost to Portland, Miami, Los Angeles Clippers and Knicks over the last ten days. The Nets were in the driver's seat against the Knicks but fell apart down the stretch with questionable lineup decisions, shoddy shot selection and just overall poor basketball. Knicks fans took over Barclays Center in full force and have now won four in a row in the area rivalry. Mikal Bridges, who scored 36, was booed on his home floor for missing a late free throw.  So with a Knicks takeover in Brooklyn, a max exodus of stars over the past few years, a billionaire owner in Joe Tsai, who lost a chunk of his large...
