The Washington Wizards have been the Nets' kryptonite this season. Brooklyn has lost both meetings with the NBA"a worst team record-wise.
Jordan Poole carved up the Nets defense on Monday with 26 points, while Bilal Coulibaly added 20. Zaire Williams paced Brooklyn with 19 and Cam Johnson dumped in 17.
In his second game since being called-up from the G-league's Long Island Nets, Killian Hayes scored 7 points and dished out eight assists.
Brooklyn shot a dismal 39.3 percent from the field and largely failed to capitalize on Washington's whopping 24 turnovers.
The Nets lead 97-96 with 3:14 remaining in the game and were outscored 11-2 for the rest of the contest.
Brooklyn lost yet again to the team with the worst record in the NBA and on Wednesday will welcome the team with the league's second -best record, the Oklahoma City Thunder, to Barclays.
